Hey THERE,

I’m Anna [SIRMANO], a Greek Australian artist and illustrator currently living in Abu Dhabi. I’ve been creating playful illustrations using paint, wood, and mixed media since I first picked up a pencil. My work often features strong, independent characters brought to life in spaces rich with colour and a sense of mystery.

After graduating in Design from Queensland College of Art in 2005, I studied illustration at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Canada, took part in an artist residency in Barcelona, and have exhibited my work nationally and internationally. I’ve also contributed to street art festivals across Queensland. My creative journey is inspired by a love of travel, different cultures, and my heritage. Colour is at the heart of my work—it drives how I tell stories and keeps me coming back to the canvas.

When I’m not painting, I work as the Associate Creative Director at Slash Design Studio in Abu Dhabi, where I get to explore creativity in a whole different way.
